Special Education Teacher
I graduated from East Beauregard High School in 1989, where I attended K-12th grade. (Go Trojans!)
I graduated with a B.S. from McNeese State University in 2003.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences/Family and Child Studies/Early Childhood Education.
I have earned certification through the State of Louisiana in the educational areas of Pre-K through 3rd Grade, Elementary Grades 1-5, Special Education Early Intervention (Birth-5). I will begin pursuing additional certification in Special Education Mild/Moderate Grades 1-5 in the very near future.
This year began my 10th year of teaching in Beauregard Parish, but this is my first year to teach at EBE. I am currently serving in the position of Special Education Resource Teacher for Kindergarten – 2nd Grade.
Prior to this year, my 14 years of teaching experience includes the following:
2011 – 2019 – Reverse Mainstream Pre-K – K.R. Hanchey Elementary (Beauregard Parish)
2006 – 2011 – Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, and 3rd Grade – Oakdale Elementary (Allen Parish)
2003 – 2004 – Kindergarten – Crowley Kindergarten and Central Rayne Kindergarten (Acadia Parish)
