Pre-Kindergarten 2021-2022 Registration for all Beauregard Parish students Beauregard Parish schools will begin registration for eligible students for the Pre-School program for the 2021 - 2022 school year through the Beauregard Parish Online Enrollment System. “This is the first year that our district has provided a district-wide enrollment program and the first year for the online portal,” explained Title I Director Margie Hieronymus. “An online, centralized enrollment system will streamline the process and make it easier for parents to complete from home or on their time schedule.” Parents can complete the application and upload documents at https://beau.edgear.net/register/ by using a computer, Chromebook, iPhone, Android, tablet, or other device connected to the Internet. Each school and the district will also host application events for parents and guardians needing assistance. The application window will begin on Monday, March 15, and end on Friday, March 26. Parents can access the Online Enrollment System any day during this time window or attend one of the application events. Parents can attend the districtwide Application Event at the Title I Center, 506 Martin Luther King Drive in DeRidder on March 25 between 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. by calling 337-463-5905 to schedule an appointment or at the school in their district according to the following schedule: Singer High School – March 17, 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. East Beauregard Elementary – March 17-19, 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Merryville High School – March 18, 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. K.R Hanchey Elementary – March 22-23, 8:30-11:30 a.m. South Beauregard Elementary – March 23, 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Students must be four years old on or before September 30, 2021, and reside in the school district of the school they plan to attend to enroll in pre-kindergarten. Parents must provide the following documents for registration:  A birth certificate verifying the child is four (4) years old on or before September 30, 2021  A social security card issued in the child’s name  A current and up-to-date immunization record in the child’s name  Proof of residency in the school’s district such as a current utility bill with the parent/guardian name  Proof of Income such as the last 2 current check stubs of a working parent/guardian in the home  Driver’s license/Photo ID of parent or guardian (and custody papers if applicable) The program is designed to improve school readiness and to establish a solid foundation for later education. It also provides for a developmentally appropriate curriculum and, through early intervention programs with their families, addresses physical, emotional, social, and intellectual areas through learning centers, projects, and play.
